I'm from the media and I want to interview you (NOT school papers). - I want more info about a city's ride. I want you to list a non-CM ride. I want you to list my city's Critical Mass ride. Great! Send me your ride's: City & Country Day / Time Meeting Place Web address (if any) I will list your email address as the contact if your ride doesn't have its own website, unless you tell me not to. (And notice that I never list email addresses when a ride has a website I can link to.) If you need a website for your CM, you can get a free one at the CM Wikia. I list only recurring, CM rides! If your ride is a one-time-only thing or not CM, it won't get listed here. You should probably be interviewing a participant in a local ride. The whole point of this website is to be a directory of such local rides. If you are looking for a leader or spokesperson or main organizer then you're missing the point. I am no such thing, all I do is maintain the directory. That said, if you're certain you need to interview me rather than a local participant, (and this is NOT for a school paper), write me at CriticalMassList(at)michaelbluejay.com   I want more info about a city's ride. Then contact the riders in that city, not me. I don't keep tabs on the hundreds of rides happening all over the world, I just list them and that's it. The whole point of this directory is to point you to the contacts for the other cities. If I know about a contact or website for a city, then I list it. If I don't, then I don't. It's that simple. If a link doesn't work, feel free to let me know so I can take it down, but don't ask me if I know of the new link. If I did then obviously I would put it on the website, since that's what the site is for. (Duh.) You can report a dead link by choosing "I have a correction" above. Please do not send me non-CM ride info under any circumstances.  I want to send you info about some non-CM activist project or event. No, do NOT send this to me. Yes, your work is probably important, but it's not my work, and I can't support even a fraction of the activist projects going on in the world, and I make no attempt to try -- except for listing Critical Mass rides. I am not a news service. I don't publish news, publicize events, or pass along messages. I have a message for Critical Mass (or the participants). Then you're missing the point. CM is an idea and an event, not an organization.You can't write to "Critical Mass" -- certainly not by writing to me. I simply run a website that lists CM rides all over the world. I'm not a CM leader, there are no leaders, there is no membership list, there is no newsletter. You can't communicate with the leaders because there aren't any. Any message addressed "Dear Critical Mass" (or even to "you guys") misses the point. Perhaps you want to communicate with the participants. In that case, did you fail to notice that CM happens all over the world? I cannot pass messages along to "Critical Mass" any better than you can pass along messages to "Christmas". If you had a bad experience with CM riders in your city, then realize that I likely don't live in your city, and I'm not your messenger even if I did. Go to your local CM ride and talk to the participants yourself. Maybe you figure that because I run a website I can post your message to communicate with riders? Not-uh. First off, only a tiny fraction of riders ever read this site, because it's just a directory, not a forum. Once they know when their local ride happens they have no reason to return. Second, I am not your messenger. You are free to speak your mind but that doesn't mean I have to provide a forum for you to do so. Publish your message wherever you wish, but don't expect me to do it for you. Hate mail / I want to threaten your life. Good for you for taking the moral high ground. CM doesn't hurt anyone, and we've never threatened you, but you can certainly show us how superior you are by threatening to hurt or kill us. While you're at it, ask someone to explain the word hypocrite to you, as well as which is the bigger crime against humanity: having a bicycle ride, or threatening to hurt someone. (Take a guess as to why I felt it necessary to include this item.) I want info or quotes for a school paper. I'm sorry, I'm unable to help you with this. I have literally thousands of messages in my In Box and I just don't have time. Try writing CM participants in your area (since the whole point of this website is to serve as a directory). I want photos or other materials. What you see is what you get. If it's on this site, I have it. If it's not, I don't. It's that simple. Feel free to write some of the individual local CM's (since the whole point of this website is to serve as a directory of them).
